Cabela Whaley

January 7, 2010 to August 14, 2023.

The most laid back English Chocolate Labrador Retriever anyone could meet. 

Our lives changed February 23, 2010 when Cabela became part of our family.   While in Ohio we went to meet her. She was the last one of the litter left and we remember she had a chunk missing our of her ear from another puppy biting her, but that wasn't gonna make any difference to us.  We just wanted to share our love with her.

She was the perfect companion for Winchester, who became her soul mate and the 2 of them had 3 adorable litters. 

In Cabela's younger years she loved to swim, play fetch, and try to pop balloons.  The balloons always entertain a crowd and she made everyone laugh.  

Cabela has had ups and downs for the last 2 years with her joints and growths.  Just recently cancer came and spread very fast.  We could not bare the thought of her suffering and had to make the dreadful decision to let her go be with God.

Cabela will be joining her husband Winchester and her parents Bud and Princess, other siblings, and some of her own that she birthed. 

She is leaving behind her son Ruger, adopted family Melanie, Jonathan, and Hunter, adopted siblings Copper and Rufas, her farm family and other family and friends. 

We are sure Cabela and Winchester are together again and that she is no longer suffering.   They will always be in our hearts and missed very much.

We love you Sweet girl, Cabela. Give Winchester hugs from us.  We will be together again one day.
